The President of Suriname, His Excellency Chandrikapersad Santokhi held a welcome party last Thursday afternoon at The Presidential Palace of Suriname for Chutney Soca’s biggest star Raymond Ramnarine and his full band Dil E Nadan.
President Santokhi wished Raymond Ramnarine best of luck with his performances in Suriname and presented him and his band with a token of appreciation. The President stated that he was happy that Raymond and his band Dil E Nadan came to perform in Suriname and encouraged him to consider Suriname for one of this upcoming videos.
The Concerts were hosted by Suriname’s leading promoters, Hardcore Entertainment. The first show was held at The Courtyard Marriott Paramaribo on Friday 17th June 2022, and was sold out just days after it was advertised.
The second event was held on Saturday 18th June 2022 at the famous Anthony Nesty Sportal NIS and was also sold out, attracting an audience of 4000 screaming fans. Also performing on the events was Shivam Rajaram, the top Baithak Gana singer from The Netherlands.
The Fans were given a concert of a lifetime with Raymond singing all his hit songs, including the Mega Hits, Tujhe Suraj and Nack Ah Ting. A special effects team from the Netherlands was flown in for the production of the events.
Raymond also shared the stage with Vishale Sukram to sing their recent release “Yeh Paude” which proved to be a huge hit with the audience. She then did a tribute to The Late Lata Mangeshkar.
New York’s Randy Recklez was a hit with the Suriname crowd. When he came on stage with Dil E Nadan he had the fans eating out of his hands.
Stephen Marcelle then joined Raymond on stage and the dynamic duo then took the party to another level, introducing Suriname to our high energy Soca music. The dynamic singers took turns giving the audience commands, however the energy of the audience elevated when they started performing some traditional Surinamese music.
The love was overwhelming from the fans and Raymond promised to be back soon to Suriname.
